In Ontario, interest and demand for iGaming continues to grow, with millions of dollars spent each year on offshore internet gaming sites. However, these sites are not regulated by the Province and don’t have a mandate to offer services in the Ontario market.
As part of modernization, OLG will be launching PlayOLG.ca, a new secure website that features fun and exciting games, along with a comprehensive Responsible Gambling program. PlayOLG.ca will offer increased player protections, secure transactions and data privacy, and will require players to register to play.
OLG takes a strong stand against underage gambling and the PlayOLG.ca registration process will include age verification that will help prevent minors from registering an account.
PlayOLG.ca will offer Ontarians a full range of exciting online gaming options, including:
- Online lottery tickets for national games such as LOTTO MAX, LOTTO 6/49 and ENCORE
- Table games
- Single player poker
Future state product releases will include:
- Online bingo
- Sports wagering
- Online poker
- Other skills-based games
PlayOLG.ca is estimated to deliver a cumulative return of $375 million to the Province over its first five years of operation. Ontarians will be able to play with peace of mind knowing this initiative is backed by OLG and the Province of Ontario, and revenues generated will be re-invested in Ontario communities.
